We are looking forward to getting back to normal, so we again can offer this 4-day field workshop in the Basque Pyrenees. In the field we will be following the same sandstone-dominated stratigraphic interval, from proximal fluvial settings to distal deepwater settings, in locations adjacent to salt diapirs with a combination of extensional and contractional histories.

We focus on salt-sediment interactions at all scales, from regional to meso-scale diapir-flanking folds to small-scale faults and associated damage zones.

The learnings are applicable to those exploring or producing from the Triassic Skagerrak, Upper Jurassic, or Paleogene intervals in the Central Graben to the Triassic to Cretacous intervals in the Barents Sea.

The Field Workshop is arranged for groups of 10 or up to 15 people and run by Joseph Anton Muñoz from University of Barcelona and Mark G. Rowan from Rowan Consulting Inc.

The best time for the field trip is late April to early June, or mid September to October.

Prices given are excluding VAT and covers everything except travel to Bilbao in Spain.
